Entering General Practice
It is widely reported that there is a growing shortage of GPs in Ireland
Many GP trainees fear that Irish General Practice is not a viable career choice with better resourced opportunities abroad.
Although GP Match cannot help is the area of resources, we believe that there are still viable career opportunities for establishing GPs in Ireland – it’s about identifying them and understanding them.
Many GP trainees and establishing GPs are unsure of which career path to take; salaried employee, independent contractor, partnership etc. There is a limited level of understanding of the business, financial and taxation implications of each route.
This is where we can help.
We work with both establishing GPs and those approaching retirement. We help build an exit strategy with retiring GPs. We assess their practice in terms of efficiency and opportunity, then determine a realistic valuation. We then present these opportunities to potential establishing GPs looking for a viable opportunity.
We aim to connect compatible GPs with common goals and realistic expectations. We look for workable solutions with a view to implementing a structure that is attractive and tax-efficient to both parties providing a structured exit strategy and promising career path simultaneously.
HOW IT WORKS
You complete the online questionnaire below, and as opportunities arise which match your chosen criteria, we will contact you to discuss.
We will explore all options available to you; advise on tax-efficient structures; provide legal, financial or taxation advice where required and work towards forming a workable relationship which is tax-efficient and attractive to all parties.
We can provide continued support, if required, to assist in the efficient running of your practice, supporting your autonomy as a busy GP.
