I work in “GP Education” and last year became aware of Business Medical through a colleague.  I spoke, at length, with Orla Murphy on the phone and arranged for her and her colleagues to meet GP’s in a formal educational setting, with local GP groups and at a national meeting.

Reflections on those Meetings are as follows:

• There is a no-nonsense, matter of fact approach to details by Business Medical consultants.
• All the GP administrative needs are in the one package, including expert opinion on Tax, Retirement, and Partnership starting/finishing etc.
• There is a “no hard sell” approach!  It seems, to me, that this group of professionals are genuinely interested in the “Best Interests” of Doctors, are in it for “the long haul”, and their rates are reasonable and tailored to the needs of the client.
• Comments by the GP’s who met the team were that they are extremely personable, easy to talk to, ladies and gentlemen.

There is no doubt that there is a huge deficit in the administrative knowledge of the GP’s who attended the meetings. In my opinion, Business Medical can expertly meet those needs.

The kind of expertise that Business Medical provide is absolutely essential if General Practitioners are to maximise the performances of their staff/practices in this most important area of their lives.
